White River Narrows Galleries

I visited the White River Narrows site early on the morning of Wednesday, November 6, 2019.  I am glad I got to visit this special place.  There  are five separate sites at the main area of the district, and some of the sites have large concentrations of petroglyphs.  I realized after I left the area that I missed a sixth site, which is located north of the main area…oh well, maybe next time!  Hope you enjoy my photos!

Site I at White River Narrows consists of this single petroglyph, thought to be a game drive fence (hunting magic).
The main panel at Site II.
Site III consists of a number of panels along the base of this cliff.
Site III was prone to graffiti because of it's proximity to a nearby road.
A large and impressive panel at Site III.
This shot shows a little context and scope. Site III has some large and impressive panels!
This small panel is among the best known at Site III.
A nice little panel from Site IV...another game fence?
Site IV had a number of big horn sheep.
A very nicely executed element at Site IV.
An intriguing figure at White River Narrows, Site V.
A Site III Selfie...it was 17 degrees at White River Narrows that morning!
And, last but not least, a selfie with the unique Site V figure.
