THE HIGH GALLERY AT HORSESHOE CANYON

I hiked into Horseshoe Canyon early on the morning of March 21, 2018.  The hike down to the canyon floor is not bad, and I reached the bottom after about 40 minutes of hiking.  The High Gallery is the first of the four major galleries in the canyon.  As it’s name suggests, this Gallery is high on the canyon wall, and, unlike the other galleries in this canyon, it is on the left hand side of the canyon.  I photographed the panel from the canyon floor, as well as from a ledge across the canyon that allowed me to get more level shots.  Most of the time my large zoom camera does a pretty good job but, in the case of the High Gallery, I wished for a larger lens.  Hope you enjoy my photos from that day!  To see my blog post of the trip that includes my visit to Horseshoe Canyon, look here
