Petroglyph National Monument (PNM) is a unique National Monument located on the west side of Albuquerque, New Mexico.  It has a nice visitor center, and three separate canyons with maintained and signed trails where you can see petroglyphs.  Note that there are no petroglyphs at the visitor center.  The three canyons are Piedras Marcadas, Rinconada, and Boca Negra, and they are all located in the suburbs of Albuquerque.  For a map showing their respective locations, look here.  I have visited PNM on two occasions.  The first visit was on August 7, 2015.  Dorothy and I were headed home from our ill-fated (because I cut off part of a finger on the second day of the trip) trip to the Pecos Conference, and we spent a morning exploring Piedras Marcadas.  The trail at Piedras Marcadas is very flat, and I think Dorothy really enjoyed the walk and the petroglyphs, despite the August heat! The three galleries above were taken with my Fuji XF1, which was my small back-packing camera.  As I recall, when we reached a point on the trail where I needed to climb up, I took the Fuji and left my Nikon D5100 with Dorothy.  So, the images in the two galleries below were taken by Dorothy and I with the Nikon.
