Petrified Forest N.P. Galleries
Petrified Forest N.P. has a large number of archaeological sites within its boundaries, and many are petroglyph sites. I have visited the park four times: December 1, 2017; April 10, 2019; October 16 -21, 2022 and, most recently, the week of September 23, 2024. The first two trips are covered in the “Newspaper Rock Viewpoint” link below, and include theNewspaper Rock viewpoint, Puerco Pueblo, and a few pictures of the immediate area around “The Howling Man” at the Puerco Wash site. The rest of the links below take you to sites I visited in October 2022 and September of 2024. Click the picture of the site you want to see and you will be directed there. I hope you enjoy my photos!
Interstate 40 Galleries
There are a number of petroglyph panels/sites near Petrified Forest National Park along Interstate 40. I first became aware of these sites from the David Daniels site, which, apparently, is no longer on the internet. Below are galleries from the IH-40 sites which I visited on my early Fall 2024 trip with my friend Richard.
