I missed this one on my first trip to Pony Hills -- glad I went back!

The Pony Hills Petroglyph Site

I have made two trips to the Pony Hills petroglyph site, located Northeast of Deming, New Mexico.  The first trip was in November of 2016.  I had intended to visit both the Pony Hills site and the Frying Pan Canyon site on that trip, but I ran out of time and only visited Pony Hills.  The main reason I ran out of time was that I spent a couple of hours hiking around Flourite Ridge before I got out to Pony Hills.  To see the blog post that includes my first visit to Pony Hills, look here.  My next trip was in April of 2018.  On that trip I did in fact make it to Frying Pan Canyon, but also stopped by Pony Hills again.  To see my blog post that includes my second visit to Pony Hills, look here.  Hope you enjoy my photos — it is a wonderful site with some stunning examples of rock art from the Mimbres Culture.  I hope you enjoy the photos I took during my two visits to Pony Hills!
