This boulder sits in front of the talus that contains the petroglyphs...does the profile roughly match the profile of Massacre Peak?

Frying Pan Canyon Petroglyphs Gallery

In April of 2018, Dorothy and I loaded up Bitsy and the airstream and headed to Arizona to look at a small ranch I was interested in (it backed up to 87,000 acres of a sky island public land and had a granary and petroglyphs just beyond the back fence).  On the way home I talked Dot into stopping in Deming, New Mexico for a couple of days so I could revisit Pony Hills, and attempt to make it to Frying Pan Canyon.  To see my blog post that includes my second visit to Pony Hills and my visit to Frying Pan Canyon, look here.  I was a little leary of the road to Frying Pan, but was able to make it without too much of a problem.  I am glad I did, Frying Pan was an interesting site, and I enjoyed exploring the area.  Hope you enjoy my photos from that fine day!
