Mount Borradaile Sites, West Arnhemland, Northern Territory, Australia
In September of 2019 I had the privilege of spending four days at Davidson’s Arnhemland Safari Lodge, located on 700 square kilometers of pristine wilderness in northwest Arnhemland. I arrived at the lodge early on the morning of Wednesday, September 11th, 2019, and departed on the afternoon of Saturday, September 14, 2019. Since the property is sacred aboriginal land, you must be accompanied by a Davidson’s guide at all times. My guide was Lachlan Harrison, who goes by the nickname Locky. Locky has been a guide at Davidson’s for seven years, and it is apparent by his knowledge of the bush, the landscape, and the rock art located on the property. Two of the four days Locky and I were together alone. The other two days we were joined by a young Italian couple (Erika and Tomaso from Vignole Borbera, Italy) who were on their honeymoon. Over the course of my four days at Davidson’s, I had the privilege of visiting sixteen rock art sites. Each of these sites was amazing in its own right. Below find links to the galleries for each of the sites I visited. I hope you enjoy them!
