Right behind Kaku & Kaku2 is the Peninsula Petroglyph Trail area at Lyman Lake State Park.

Lyman Lake State Park Petroglyphs Gallery

On Saturday, August 6, 2016 I visited this Arizona state park which is located a few miles south of St. Johns on Highway 191.  The lake was formed by damming up the Little Colorado River near its headwaters.  The park has an area known as the Peninsula Petroglyph Trail which is a short improved trail through an area with a number of petroglyphs.  I enjoyed exploring this area of the park.  There is also an area directly across the lake called the Ultimate Petroglyph Trail that is reached by boat.  I was not able to visit this area (lack of time, lack of boat!) but I hope to return some day and explore it as well.  To visit the blog post of the trip that includes my visit to Lyman Lake, look here.  I hope you enjoy the photos I took that day!

What many consider to be the signature panel at Lyman Lake.

Bird? Anthropomorph?
Looks abstract to me, but see the Hopi explanation below.

Is that a footprint in the lower right?
A llittle more detail on the footprint.
Another nice footprint.
No, I didn't write my name!
What do you think the center figure might be?
