Kings Canyon Petroglyph Gallery
I was up early on the morning of Tuesday, November 28, 2017, and headed to Saguaro National Park. My first stop in the park was the Kings Canyon Trailhead, where I arrived at first light. I spent about three hours on a pleasant hike in the canyon. The air was crisp, and I did not see another soul. After hiking about a mile up the canyon, I spotted my first petroglyph. It was a geometric element on a large boulder on the floor of the small canyon. As I hiked further I began to see more petroglyphs along the wall of the canyon. None of the rock art that I saw on this hike was particularly memorable, but I am glad I got to do the hike and see the art. Here are a few of the photos I took that morning.
