Christmas 2014

2014 was our first Christmas without you.  I wish I could say it was the toughest, but honestly, they seem to get tougher each year.  I guess that with each succeeding year, I get melancholy thinking about how much we miss you and how much we miss being a part of your life– watching you grow and mature, watching you and your sports, and watching you develop in all aspects of your life, especially your personalities.  I outlined the efforts we made to send you gifts in the “Christmas Prologue” section.  It was so sad, and, looking back on it, probably the worst Christmas I have ever endured.  But there were a couple of bright spots.  First, we got a Christmas card from your family.  It was not personalized, but it was something (as the years drug on and we never received another card, we decided that first one was sent by mistake). Second, your Grandparents Andy and Gail posted three pictures they took of you on Facebook.  On one hand they made me quite sad, but on the other hand I was so grateful to see pictures of you after not seeing you in person for over six months.  Below are the pictures from 2014.
