Cave Creek Pictograph Galleries

On the morning of Monday, October 24, 2022, I visited two small pictograph sites in Cave Creek Canyon near Portal, Arizona.  I had spent the night at Cave Creek Ranch, and they were kind enough to give me some general directions to the sites.  The first site was in a cave high up on the side of a mountain and required a pretty good hike to get to.  The second site was very near paved road it required just a short walk and a small climb up to an alcove on a ledge.  To see the blog post that includes my visits to these sites, look here.  Below are photos from each site.  I am calling the site in the cave “Cave Creek High Site” and the other “Cave Creek Low Site”.  I hope you enjoy my photos.
