Meet My Friend Anthony Quiroz, Uber Driver Extraordinaire!
About a week before my arrival in San Jose, I asked one of the employees at Hotel Robledal to help me line up a driver for my first couple of days of independent exploring. Bright and early (5:30 a.m. to be exact) on the morning of Friday, February 3, 2023, I met Anthony Quiroz when he picked me up and drove me to the University of Costa Rica campus to meet Rigo of Oropopo Experience. Anthony also picked me up the next day, as well as my last morning in San Jose (Tuesday, February 14, 2023). I found Anthony to be dependable, trustworthy, knowledgeable, and amiable. In other words, Anthony was much more than a driver, over the course of our time together, Anthony became a friend. Anthony gave me permission to give out his WhatsApp number as well as his email, so if you find yourself needing a driver while in San Jose, I would whole-heartedly recommend my friend Anthony! Here is his contact information:

And here are a few pictures from our time together. I had asked Anthony to take me to a Coffee Farm on my last morning in San Jose, then drop me at the airport. Anthony took me to TWO coffee farms (Doka and Starbucks) as well as the Cathedral in his hometown of Alajuela (I had mentioned to him I love historic structures, and he was very gracious and proud to show me the stunningly beautiful Cathedral of the “Mango City”).

When I travel outside of the United States, it seems that God always puts the right people in my path. People that help me, befriend me, introduce me to the local culture, protect me, and enhance my travel experience in general. I am grateful God put you in my path Anthony. Vaya con Dios, Amigo!
