Who Is Brady Miller?

(and how to get in touch with him!)

Brady Miller is the oldest and dearest friend I have.  I met Brady in kindergarten at the Presbyterian Day School in Orange, Texas.  Brady taught me how to tie my shoes!  Brady is an amazing athlete — whether it was golf, bowling, basketball, shooting, or Punt, Pass & Kick, Brady excelled at any sport or activity he choose to participate in.  Golf was his primary sport, and what a player he was.  At a very young age, he took lessons from the famous Harvey Penick.  As a junior player, he traveled widely and won many tournaments.  In the summer of 1969, Brady and I traveled (without parents!) together and played in The Future Masters (Dothan, Alabama…still not sure how I managed to get in!), The Southern Junior (Pensacola, Florida) and some other tournaments whose names escape me.  Brady’s junior golf exploits earned him a full four year scholarship to the University of Houston, which, at the time, was the premier college golf program in the country.  His most notable college victory was his win at the 1973 Southwest Conference Fall Championships.  After college, Brady played mini-tours and on the PGA tour for a time.  He even played two rounds with Arnold Palmer in a PGA tour event — ask him about it!  Brady’s parents, Jess and Pat Miller, were very kind to me growing up, and were a very positive influence in my life during my teenage years — I can never thank them enough!  As a matter of fact, it you ever visit my cremated remains at the First Presbyterian Church Columbarian (902 Green Ave, Orange, Texas), you will see that I chose to have my remains placed near those of Mr. and Mrs. Miller.

So, how to get in touch with Brady Miller?  His cellphone is 678 933-7780; and his home address is 5231 Mill Run Dr., Marietta, GA 30068.  He is expecting your call.
