Virginia’s Warbler Gallery
Leiothlypis virginiae
eBird gives this description of the Virginia’s Warbler: Gray warbler with yellow undertail found in open brushy woodlands. All but the dullest immatures show yellow patch on breast. Thin white eyering. Similar to Nashville Warbler but grayer and without green on back or wings. In migration, joins foraging flocks of other warblers and songbirds. Song is a sweet two- or three-parted warble.
I saw and photographed my first Viginia’s Warbler on my August 31, 2020 trip to Christmas Mountains Oasis…a cute little warbler!
