Ash Springs Petroglyph Gallery

I visited the Ash Springs Petroglyph Site on the afternoon of Wednesday, November 6, 2019.  The Site is located a short distance from Nevada Route 93 just outside the small community of Ash Springs.  The petroglyphs are on scattered boulders on several acres.  There is a trail with markers to guide you through the boulders.  Most of the petroglyphs are badly weathered and very light patina and the roughness of the boulders make much of the art hard to see.  The photos below are a good representation of the petroglyphs to be found at this small site.

This laminated map is found in a metal container at the Ash Spring trailhead.
The first panel on the trail.
The badly weathered panel appears to contain an anthropomorph.
An interesting element.
A lot going on in this panel!
Superimposition is apparent on this small panel.
A beautiful sky provides a nice backdrop to this small panel.
The last of the boulders I visited at Ash Springs.

One final photo from Ash Springs, just to prove I was there!
