Kakadu National Park Rock Art Sites, Northern Territory, Australia

There are many aboriginal rock art sites located within the boundaries of Kakadu National Park in the Northern Territory of Australia.  In recognition of the quantity and quality of these cultural resources, this park has been designated a World Heritage Site.  In September of 2019 I was fortunate to visit the three sites in the park that are open to the public.  These sites are Nourlangie, Nanguluwur, and Ubirr.  Each of these three sites are well signed and easily accessed.  All three of the sites require a short hike on good trails (but the Naguluwur site does require a little longer hike that the other two sites).  Click below to see my pictures from each of these sites — I hope you enjoy them!
