THE DEVIL'S KITCHEN SITE, NEAR DELTA, UTAH
I enjoyed this site. It was larger and more diverse than many of the Great Basin sites I visited. The late afternoon sun was also kinder to my camera! There is rock art scattered among a group of large boulders, then along a cliff wall. Devil’s Kitchen was named by Mormon pioneers who said the sound of their wagons crossing the volcanic formation in the area was – “like tapping on a drumhead or on the flat tin roof of the Devil’s kitchen”. Hope you enjoy my photos from this site!
