This selfie does not do this beautiful panel justice...it is not as faded as it appears in this picture!

THE SNAKE-IN-THE-MOUTH PICTOGRAPH PANEL

This is one of my favorite rock art panels.  The elements are hero sized with amazing detail.  The landscape is grand, and the climb up to the site is challenging.  All of these factors make for a really great site.  This site is across the road and to the east of The Intestine Man and the Sheep Panel, and a short hike from the entrance to Seven Mile Canyon.  The panel sits high up on a canyon wall and, though quite large, is difficult to spot from the canyon floor.  I don’t know if I took the wrong route up, but it was quite challenging for this old man!  I hope you enjoy the pictures of one of my favorite sites!

One Final Picture of The Landscape...

Can you spot the area where the pictograph is located? I took this photo after I dropped my pack to make the climb up. It is a LOT steeper than it looks in this photo!
