IF YOU LOOK CLOSELY AT THIS VIEW OF THE TWO RED YEI, YOU CAN SEE THE REMAINS OF OTHER ELEMENTS BELOW AND TO THE RIGHT. I COULDN'T GET CLOSE ENOUGH TO GET A D-STRETCH VIEW WHICH PROBABLY WOULD HAVE MADE THESE ELEMENTS VISIBLE.

Red Yei Gallery

On April 22, 2022, Tori Myers (staff archaeologist with Salmon Ruins Museum) and I visited the Two Red Yei site, located in a small side canyon off the main canyon of Largo.  Although I had the location marked on a topo map, the site was difficult to find, even with the use of binoculars.  Although very simple, the site is quite stunning, and beautiful.  After I returned home and studied my photographs, it became apparent that the panel used to include several more elements, which have faded over time.  I was very happy to locate and experience this exquisite little pictograph panel.  To see the blog that includes my visit to this site, look here.  Below are more of the photographs I took at the site.
