ONE OF THE PICTURES THAT MY FRIEND RICHARD TOOK OF ME IN TENMILE WASH GIVES SOME CONTEXT AS TO THE SIZE OF THE WASH. RICHARD WAS STANDING ON THE RIM OF THE WASH WHEN HE TOOK THIS PHOTO. THANK YOU RICHARD!

The Tenmile Wash Gallery

My friend Richard and I visited the Tenmile Wash site (near Silver Creek) on the morning of Wednesday, March 11, 2026, during our Spring 2026 Rock Art Trip.  As noted in my blog, we were excited about visiting this wash after reading the Albert J. Levine manuscript.  Other than the impassable areas (due to water in the bottom of the wash) Tenmile Wash did not disappoint, and I am grateful we got to experience the areas that we were able to access.  I hope you enjoy our photos from that day!

One Final Gallery of Some of Richard’s Photos From Tenmile…

While I walked as far as I could in the bottom of Tenmile Wash, Richad walked along the southern (?) rim of the wash and took photos from a much higher vantage point with his Nikon Coolpix P950 camera which has an amazing telephoto reach.  As a result he got some shots of a nice panel I never even saw from the floor, and some nice perspective shots with some advantageous lighting.  Thank you Richard, for accompanying me on this little adventure and for letting me use some of your excellent photos!
