THE GOLDEN FLEECE PANEL IN LITHODENDRUM WASH NEAR PETRIFIED FOREST NATIONAL PARK. FROM THE FLOOR OF THE WASH THE PANEL IS VERY DIFFICULT TO SEE, ESPECIALLY IN HARSH LIGHT. MARCH 11, 2026.

The Golden Fleece Site Gallery

I visited the Golden Fleece site (in Lithodendrum Wash near PFNP) with my friend Richard on the morning of Wednesday, March 11, 2026 during our Spring 2026 Rock Art Trip.  The light was absolutely horrible and our schedule would not allow us to hang around for some better light.  But we did the best we could, and were happy to find and experience this little site, which had been on our radar for quite some time.  I have also included photos of several small nearby petroglyphs/panels, most notably the “Man With A Hole In His Head” panel.
