THE MAIN PANEL AT DOGGONE BAY HAS A LARGE NUMBER OF INTRIGUING ELEMENTS!

The Doggone Bay Site Gallery

I visited the Doggone Bay Site on the Little Colorado River on the early afternoon of Tuesday, March 10, 2026 during my Spring 2026 Rock Art Trip.  This site is featured in Tapamveni (McCreery and Malotki, Fig. 5.27, pg. 94) but I have no idea how this small site got its name.  In a perfect world I would have had the time and energy to wade the river and climb up to the site for a closer look and some better photographs, but it was not to be on this day.  I think there are some petroglyphs on the horizontal surface just below the main panel on some of the other horizontal surfaces nearby.  It would have been fun to further explore the area.  But, I do hope you enjoy the photos I did manage to take on my visit!
