i DECIDED TO CALL THIS THE HIGHLINE SITE BECAUSE OF THE HIGHLINE THAT RUNS THROUGH THE MAIN PART OF THE SITE. IT IS ALSO OFTEN REFERRED TO AS THE EXIT 277 SITE, WHICH IS WHAT DAVID DANIELS CALLED IT.

I visited “The Highline Site” on the afternoon of Monday, March 9, 2026 during my Spring 2026 Rock Art Trip.  This site is located by some highlines north of IH-40 near exit 277.  Learned of this site from David Daniel’s site several years ago but had never taken time to explore the area described on his site.  Unfortunately, like many sites located near well traveled roads or highways, there is lots of grafitti and damage at the site.  But there are enough nice elements to make a quick stop to check it out.
