FIRST RUINS CONSISTS OF TWO KIVAS AND TEN FAIRLY WELL PRESERVED ROOMS. PICTOGRAPHS CAN BE SEEN ON THE WALL BEHIND THE RUINS, MOSTLY WHITE, THICK-LINED ELEMENTS TYPICAL OF THE GREAT PUEBLO PERIOD.

I visited the First Ruins Site in the Canyon de Chelly Canyon complex on the morning of Saturday, March 7, 2026.  My friend Richard and I were with Leander Staley of Beauty Way Jeep Tours as part of our Spring 2026 Rock Art Trip (Part 2) and this was our first stop of the day.
