I spent the afternoon of Thursday, March 5, 2026 at the Museum of Northern Arizona during the front end of my Spring 2026 Rock Art Trip.  I had a one o’clock p.m. appointment with the Archivist at the Museum.  I arrived about an hour early so I could tour the main collections of the Museum — it was time well spent.  I enjoy museums in general, and museums with an emphasis on anthropology and archaeology in particular.  This museum was pleasing to the eye and the content was presented in a thought provoking manner.  If you are ever in the area, I would highly recommend a visit!  Here are some photos that I took at the museum that day.

THE ALBERT LEVINE COLLECTION

My main purpose in visiting the Museum of Northern Arizona was to meet with the archivist and look at the Albert Levine Collection. At the appointed time I met Lily Elbaum and she showed me to an area of the Archives and Collections building where she had assembled the Albert Levine materials for my review.  I spent the next several hours reading the materials — they were fascinating!
