J.D. WITH MOM AND DAD AFTER THE LAST DAY OF THE FAIR OAKS COUNTRY CLUB JUNIOR GOLF CAMP, WHERE, IN MY OPINION, J.D. WAS THE STAR OF THE SHOW! FRIDAY, AUGUST 1, 2025.

J.D.’s First Golf Camp

Early in the summer of 2025, Liz and David had mentioned that one of the many activities they had planned for J.D.’s summer break was a junior golf camp at Fair Oaks Country Club.  Upon returning home from my trip to Scotland, I learned that J.D. would be attending the camp Tuesday, July 29 through Friday, August 1, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. each day.  Liz and David invited us to come out on the last day of the camp, then have lunch with them.  I began to really get excited about seeing J.D. in action at the camp, as Nana sent us some photos from the first few days.  J.D. looked very much like a seasoned golfer!

On Friday, August 1, 2025, Dede and I drove to Fair Oaks to watch your last day of golf camp.  We were so proud and impressed with how well you did.  You were energetic and enthusiastic, followed instructions like a pro, and interacted very well with the other children in the camp.  Although we did not get to see it, the day before, you hit a drive “past the hill” on the driving range, and the coach told you that you were “on fire”!  You are growing up so fast, and we are so grateful to be a part of your life.  After camp on Friday, we drove to one of your favorite restuarants, Texas Roadhouse, and had a nice lunch.  A few more pics from that wonderful day!

THE CAMP INCLUDED A LITTLE QUIZ ABOUT THE PARTS OF A CLUB -- YOU WERE EAGER TO SHOW YOU KNEW THE ANSWER!

In addition to taking photos with my cell phone, as well as getting some cell phone photos from your mom and Nana, I took my Nikon D500 with my “street lens” ( AFS 24-70mm 1.28E ED) hoping to get some candid shots of you at the camp.  Here are the results of my efforts with my Nikon….

Spending time with you and your mom and dad is always great fun for Dede and I.  We are most grateful that we get to be a part of your lives, and love you all!  Next up on your summer schedule, horse camp!
