Feathered Masks Gallery
I spent Friday, April 22, 2022 exploring in Largo Canyon with Tori Myers, staff archaeologist at Salmon Ruins Mueseum. One of the sites we visited that day is called “Feathered Masks”. I am not sure why the site carries this name, but it is certainly unusual. It consists of petroglyph elements that have also been painted. My guess is that the Navajo people have provided information that these elements represent masks of some sort, but an internet search provided no information on this subject.
